below are the scores and pairings from week 1 of the mens trials. We will update over the course of the 3 weeks. As always the aim  is to get everyone to pair up with everyone else so there can be no complaints about results being a reflection of the fact that people were paired with the better players. As much as possible the organisers will vary who people play against but inevitably some people will come up against some of the same players, but not the same pairs.

• Have paid your membership subs for 2012. Note subs are now overdue – please contact Gina for more details or see membership page for form.

More Details (some important t&c…) 

• You must be able to attend Wimbledon on the day with a guest and tickets cannot be sold to anyone else.
• Each club member may only win a maximum of one pair of tickets through the club ballot (Family members can only win one pair of tickets).

The ballot will take place on Sunday 8th April at 4.30pm during club session.

Back to the night in question, while the quiz master got a bit carried away with the challenge he was setting “master mind on steroids” was the quote. All teams had their moments, John Drake acing the maximum characters in a tweet will live long in the memory.

A huge thanks to Helen Main & Caroline Westonwho organised and ran the evening brilliantly. In total £402.53 was raised, with £160 (raffle monies) being donated to the Manningtree 1st Response Team. While the balance will go to club funds ~ a huge thanks to everybody for attending and supporting so generously. A big congrats to our winners on the night led by Mark Dempsey, see fuzzy picture below. Finally for those very keen, we have listed the questions further down.

Due to some recent changes in the LTA’s incorporation and disciplinary codes, it has been necessary to revamp the Club’s Rules/Constitution to ensure compliance.  At the recent AGM, it was agreed by the members present that the new proposed  Rules/Constitution be sent out to members and if no issues were found or outstanding before the next Committee meeting, the document would be formally approved at that meeting.  Consequently, please advise me if you have any issues within the next 2 weeks.
