May Day saw the first of the Clubs Annual American Tournaments. Another beautiful sunny day saw a large turnout with 24 members participating and many more in attendance to support.

Congrats to Julie & Peter who won the day beating Caroline & Rob in the final. A big thanks to Robert for organising on the day. Some photos below

Dedham Tennis Club Quiz 2011

There was a full house at Dedham Sports Club on Friday the 26th for the Dedham Tennis Club Quiz Night. Thanks to Caroline Weston & Helen Main who did a fantastic job organising the evening. Thanks to Russell for a challenging picture round & to Debbie & Abbey who flawlessly managed the scoring. Dan Harty called the questions & Robert Lewis, Club Chairman compered the evening.

In addition to it being a fantastic club evening the event also helped raise much needed funds. In all £400.80 was raised, of which £100 is being donated to MacMillan Cancer Support

And so to the quiz, two teams were level pegging going into the final round but a fantastic score of 9 on “local knowledge” made the difference as “the team with no name” AKA Team D prevailed over Team Soapless by 1 point.

Congrats to our Winners – Lucey, Gillie, Paul, Chris & Sam.

Colchester & District Tennis Finals 2010

Congratulations to Rob and Ian for winning the Restricted Men’s Doubles Final and well done to Sara for reaching the over 40′s Ladies Doubles Final. It was great to see so many people from Dedham at Frinton supporting the Dedham players. Finally a huge congrats to the Mixed A team and Ladies team for winning their respective leagues.

Ladies Tournament Friday 18th June 2010

Dedham hold another succesful Open Ladies Tournament on Friday 18th of June. Thanks to Debbie and BJ for organising it and congratulations to the winners Noriko ( Spring Lane) and Gill ( The Essex)
